I happened to have a few moments lately where I was upset, even a little bit angry, in my personal life.
What happened to me was very interesting. A situation occurred and I ended up being upset afterward and brooding. About 15 minutes later I thought, hey, just observe your thought. I did that and somehow, all my thought that kept me angry disappeared almost instantly. I visualized it as if I just opened a light in a room full of cockroaches and they all rushed to hide in the time it takes to blink.
Note that I wasn't mad, just upset and a little bit angry. My mood and emotions returned to normal about a minute later.
I just wanted to share since its the first time that I use mindfulness on something as concrete as my current bad mood.
Have a mindful day!

great news Paqman, mindfulness in action.
it's always great to hear stories like this, they're really uplifting.
emotions can disappear quickly when mindfulness is applied, pema chodron quotes around 90 seconds for an emotion to fizzle out, or a lot longer if we keep feeding them.

I've experienced that exactly then
I've been practicing Mindfulness for 5 weeks now and I believe that it will be part of my life for the rest of it.
Nice of you to reply since I added a quote from you in my signature
