Hello All!
I am brand new to the forum and relatively new to the practice of mindfulness. For a few months I have been researching and learning about the practice and the numerous ways in which it can improve one's life. As someone who has long struggled with anxiety and self-acceptance I can see that mindfulness is going to be a very powerful, liberating tool.
Recently I started an 8 week Mindfulness Self-Compassion course. We meet once weekly but I would like to deepen my practice beyond these weekly sessions. Therefore I have decided to commit to practicing a short guided mindfulness meditation every day for 30 days. In order to do this I have compiled a list of free mindfulness audio tracks from around the web. I would like to invite anyone who is interested to join me on this journey, to see what 30 days of mindfulness can bring us. Starting tomorrow February 1st I will add a new link each day to my blog: https://chocolateandpills.wordpress.com ... ndfulness/ for 30 straight days. If you are interested and would like to be reminded daily simply add me on Twitter and I will tweet a mindful reminder once daily https://twitter.com/MyMindfulHealth
I am looking forward to what these next 30 days will bring. Wishing you all a mindful month!
Megan

Hi Megan
Ive justed started also and Iam on week 3 on the 8wk course described in Finding peace in a frantic world. Its starting to make a difference.
Doing the meditations twice a day has been a challenge, but once done I feel an immediate benefit.
Will watch your blog as it will be good to share experiences with someone else who is relatively new also.

Hi Mike! Thanks for the reply. I can totally imagine that, although the meditations may be difficult at first, that they will make a huge difference for us in the long run. I am already so amazed at the discoveries I have made. Thanks for the support!

Great to read about your journey. It seems like you are starting to learn some of the lessons that mindfulness teaches us.
Remember that this is a lifetime's work, not something that you can just 'do' for 30 days.

Absolutely! My goal was to slowly begin incorporating bits of mindfulness into my days, and this 30 day "challenge" provided the daily reminders and encouragement I needed to make a change. I know I have just barely scratched the surface and am right at the beginning of a life long enriching journey. I am hopeful and inspired to keep on exploring.
