I'm starting to get my act together a bit with the site, and I have now found a way to incorporate beautiful photos onto the blog articles and the site pages that I put up. It's using the photo site Flickr. Many people upload their photos with a creative commons license, this allows me to use the photos on the site with a link back to the original photographer (by clicking on the photo).

In the interests of community, I wondered if anybody wanted to assist in choosing photos for the stuff that goes up. The theme of the photos that I try and stick to is very wide and will allow for most photos. Take something that you might not pay attention to because it's 'ordinary,' but when you do pay attention, it is in fact spectacularly beautiful. That is the theme right there; it really fits in with what mindfulness is all about.

If anybody wants to pick some photos, then go right ahead, browse the site and send me some links. Use this advanced search here:

https://www.flickr.com/search/advanced/

Make sure the creative commons box is ticked at the bottom; it just means that I won't get any copyright issues. Post the links here or email them to me, and I'll use them in the blogs.

Will there be a special section for photos of cocker spaniels?

Banjo will have his own fan site at this rate :D
Can we contribute our own photos for use on the site/Twitter/Facebook etc?

Hi Fee,

I know you've been having a rough time of it lately. Know that our thoughts are with you at this difficult time. X

In answer to your question, yes of course you can contribute your own photos. I would prefer it if they were hosted on Flickr though, this means that I don't have to store them on the server that the EM site is hosted, I can just hotlink to them directly on Flickr. The less space that I use, the less money have to pay for the hosting.

Never done it, but I think getting a Flickr account and uploading photos is a piece of cake.

Oh, and by the way, Banjo has got his own Twitter account: @mindful_pooch. He tweets some very wise stuff, I use it all the time.
