Hi All,
Another newbie question.
I practice QiGong (Shibashi). I am not a big fan of directing "qi" or of the visualizations which are traditionally taught as a part of QiGong and TaiChi practice. I would prefer to use QiGon as a part of my mindful movement meditations. It's not particularly easy! I am wondering if anyone else does this and would welcome any observations and suggestions.

one of the mindfulness teachers practices it and uses it as mindful movement in some sessions.
i never understood it but really liked the slow gentle movements, it was just a case of awareness of body sensations as i moved for me. i never got the deeper meaning, just the mindful movement one.

My pain specialist physio combines mindfulness and QiGong as part of pain management programmes. I have to be really mindful of my body and concentrate on my breath to so I don't start mindlessly speeding the movements up. I find it a very peaceful and it makes me feel very present.

Oh, I just discovered Qi Gong in my own mindful movement practice - my supervisor sent me a lovely video. I'm looking forward to starting the class I found. I think it will really help deepen my practice of being in the body.
