Relapse or progress?

Post here if you have been practising for a while, and you are starting to get your head around what this is all about. Also post here if you are a long-term practitioner with something to say about the practice.

I'm really interested by your dilemma rara with the music industry. Any update on how you're feeling about the situation these days?

Also, your problem reminded me of a book called The Charisma Myth, which is really your traditional self-help book, but I mention it because it really outlines the usefulness of "presence" in the dimension of charisma, which is really just another word for mindfulness. And perhaps replacing aggression with charisma in the social demands of the industry could be a way forward.

Hi Brad,

I have realised that it's the specific job role. As Bio said, I can't run from toxicity as it's everywhere. The toxicity isn't my problem, it's just the situation I'm in that exposes me to mass stress.

So I'm gradually changing things around. Doing more of what I like, and less of what I don't :) Still in music/entertainment, but mostly on the "artist" side than management!

The financial cut is worth it. Sanity is close!

Another realisation...if I get stressed out now, it's because it's the way I choose to handle it. If I change job, nothing changes mentally because I still have the same habit of getting mad when not all goes to plan.

My time over the last two months has been spent fixing this. I'm about to take someone to court. My challenge is to not get stressed and angry about the situation and to just deal with it. I don't want to go through with it....is the most human way to put it. But the truth is, I'm doing it...and that's all there is to it.

Currently training myself to become detached from any form of emotion here. It's just a distraction that will heat the situation up more...unnecessarily.

BOOOM!
