Breathing OCD

Post here if you are just starting out with your mindfulness practice. Mindfulness is a really difficult concept to get your head around at first, and it might be that you would benefit from some help from others.

Just making an update to my previous post. So I've made progress, when I find myself focusing on my breath I no longer get anxious. I've also started to meditate slowly again. I do however find myself having to breath manually when I meditate because I am thinking or focusing so much about it and wanting it to become automatic, it does not create anxiety anymore tho. Do anyone have any idea on how to deal with this? Any other meditation or mantra I can say to myself etc? Anyway feels good to be "back". Cheers for all help.

I'm glad that you feel like you are making progress, but remember this practice is a lifetime's work.

Just keep noticing that this is happening. Notice without self-judgment. Every time you get that thought, just notice it without getting attached to the content of the thought.
