Has anyone tried the Mindful Magazine?

from the Centre for Mindfulness at the University of Massachsetts

It would be nice if they offered a trial (electronic) copy for prospective subscribers

Looks interesting. I might well subscribe to that.

I meant to post this too thanks Steve :)
I've signed up for the trail copy too and I'm looking forward it it arriving. I totally agree about having an electronic copy, I even asked on their facebook page and haven't had a reply. An electronic copy would save paper and also perhaps a digital copy would not carry the extra overseas charge.

I also took out a subscription and can see the digital edition through a website called Zinio which was a pain in the neck to register with but does work on my PC. I then tried to read the digital edition on my Kindle Fire tablet and got a message saying that Minful magazine is not available on Android devices (sorry for all the technicalities!) I have emailed Mindful magazine saying that this is disappointing for subscribers in the UK, and asking for my subsciption to be refunded as I don't want to read the Magazine on a PC, and haven't had a reply. It did seem very expensive to get them to post the journal to the UK, surprised they haven't got a UK distributor but maybe Mindfulness isn't big enough here yet?

Well so far there's no sign of my paper copy either. I've lost some enthusiasm I'm afraid because it doesn't seem like a very well organised venture.

I'm in the UK too, and I subscribed electronically because it was going to be cheaper. I would have preferred a paper copy though, as I don't like trying to read it on the PC with Zinio - I find it a clunky reader and it isn't easy on the eyes to read on a PC. I wish they'd do a Kindle edition.

Although I like the magazine, I can't get a proper feel for it because of the medium in which I'm reading it. I somehow don't feel connected to what I'm reading because it's such a pain to read it with Zinio. But I'm glad that at least we have a magazine about mindfulness, and hope one day to see it in newsagents in the UK.

I emailed the publishers about a problem I was having with it and did eventually get a reply, so they're not unresponsive.

Sadly I never received the paper copy I subscribed for or a response to the question I set them.

However I see the magazine has taken off and hope we might be able to buy it over here in the future. I have so many other things to read that I haven't chased them up.

I do find somethings easier than others to read electronically too :)

I signed up to receive the charter edition and did eventually receive my paper copy. I enjoyed reading through it and would recommend it. The focus is less on the practice of mindfulness and more on its community and how individuals and organizations are using it to bring change.

I emailed them a while back, Introducing myself and telling them about the forum; they never even replied.

Hmmm.
I won't be taking out a subscription then.
