Reliance on guided meditations

Post here if you have been practising for a while, and you are starting to get your head around what this is all about. Also post here if you are a long-term practitioner with something to say about the practice.

Everybody's hit the nail on the head. Just do what feels comfortable. I would also say that when your listening to a guided meditation it's important to really try to feel out what it is the the guide is trying to get across to you. I've learned a lot of creative way's to be mindful through highly conscious people's takes on the practice. I would say one good sign that your ready to leave guided meditations behind for the most part is whenever you find yourself not listening to every instruction they give just because you know what will work better intuitively in that moment. That doesn't mean you don't still hear the guide though. ;)
