lol.

I managed to have a nap early yesterday afternoon so was still awake late last night. I do a body scan / become mindful of my body weight to relax myself and have a deep sleep. Worked a treat. Had so many years of not being able to sleep before I found mindfulness / meditation.

I beleive I have IBS as I'm very minful of my stomach rumblings. I'm on soup at the moment to find out if this helps ease. My diet leaves a lot to be desired.

Feel like even when I catch up on sleep it's not enough. I think when I was meditating and had less sleep, I felt more refreshed, so going to try find time to meditate more if I can. Focusing on not eating everything in the freezer these next few weeks also.

I've been getting a bit frustrated and annoyed with having to pick up other people's slack so hoping mindfulness can be of use here!

Been struggling with meditation, so plan b doing a bit more of mindfulness, but did find counting in between breaths to be helpful, something which I forgot and haven't done in a while.

I'm so pleased I found mindfulness though since about 5 years ago.

By 'mindfulness', presumably you are referring to body scans, walking meditation, mindful movement etc.?

I believe so. I used to be quite focused on the body scans which I do when I lie in bed, but get distracted by thoughts a lot more than I used to. Usually rude thoughts! I can't use earphones as the Mrs thinks I'm being ignorant also, so may need to do it when she's not in. Just thought as she's started doing nightshift, I can do them on a night time!

Had no issues getting to sleep of late with an annoying cat waking me up several times every night!

Anyone ever do a relaxation process to get to sleep and tell youself what time to wake up? A friend once told me this many years ago and it's quite accurate (I still set my alarm when need be though!).

Somehow was wide awake between 1am and 3am. Struggled to do any meditation. Woke up shattered at 7am. Hoping for a better sleep tonight.

Going to try do mindfulness and meditation during daytime as don't seem to be able to get in the zone on a night time.
