Mindfulness Didn't Last Longer

It could (change everything).
But one of the main reasons why people lapse in practice is that they start reaping the benefits of mindfulness and then reason that they've nailed it, whatever 'it' is, and that they don't need to meditate any longer.
Mindfulness is never fixed. It's not a state we attain and then always remain in.
Like everything else in the universe, it's always changing and we continue to practice in order to meet whatever arises with mindfulness.
