Resources on Self-Compassion
I am looking for resources to cultivate self-compassion. Something that will give me specific techniques. I know that mindfulness in general helps with that, but I'm wondering if there is something very specific I can practice. I've identified lack of self-compassion as my biggest growth area.

Kristin Neff is the go-to-girl for self-compassion, though what's most popular isn't always what's best, or best for you. I like Tara Brach's Radical Acceptance. I listened to the audio book years ago.
And I'm currently working on a new guided meditation which I'm going to call 'Kindfulness'. It's focus will be self-compassion. I'll probably release it on Insight Timer as well as my soundcloud stream at: https://soundcloud.com/meditation-melbourne

Christina Feldman's Boundless Heart is the best book I've read on loving-kindness/compassion by a good few furlongs. Just published.

Hi arguseyed. There are guided meditations on Kristin Neff's website, http://self-compassion.org/guided-self- ... ons-mp3-2/ and on Christopher Germer's, which I think is www.mindfulselfcompassion.org (there are written instructions on there too).

Sorry, no, that second site was this one: https://chrisgermer.com/meditations/
I've been doing 'Loving kindness for a loved one' the last few days and like it.

This style will do the job.
Ensure you use the affirmation 'I am love' too, that is super important for compassion.
Also - and this may sound bonkers to some - but repeating the word 'love' inwards toward every person you see throughout your day. This brought an incredible shift for me.

When you wake up in morning , put your palms on your face , be thankful ( God / universe / whatever you pray to if any) for being alive and able to get up ok with body parts working fine. This brings a light smile internal at times. I feel its a good start for the day.
