I thought this was a beautiful article; I put several links to it from Twitter.
I can't tell you how useful mindfulness is for parenting. So often my brain has an agenda of what the kids are supposed to be doing, but so often I bring myself back to the moment when things work out differently. This has enriched my life beyond all recognition (and theirs too I think).

What a great article. I can't even remember how many times I have gone through the same process! Mindfulness practice sure doesn't equate to perfection in parenting (is there even such a thing?) and it so easy to have our agenda override our powers of observation. I really have to slow down to tune in - not only to my intention but also the children's!

Great article. I love this video from the Wisdom 2.0 conference on having a wonderful 'stop and smell the roses' child and stopping the ticking clock.
Hope you like it.

Kids really notice it when you are truly present and engaged with them. It's pure magic to feel that ! I think mindfulness helped me as much with my parenting as anything else. Very good for dealing with tantrums (mostly my kids tantrums:)

Hi Kukurijek,
I love that book. I only wish it had been available when I was a busy single dad back in the day. Mind you, it's still very useful, even though my 'boy' is now 28!
All good things,
Jon
