I find it interesting how nature sometimes forces us to come back to the present. Here in Massachusetts we're going through what we call a "Nor'Easter" storm, so it has been snowing for about two days now. I was out walking my dog tonight and could not help but start noticing the beauty of the moment - quiet roads covered in white, almost disfigured trees from heavy snow on branches, lights inside houses, the feeling on snow underneath my feet. It was like Thomas Kinkaid painting come to life. Not sure what the lesson here is - perhaps such moments are always there and we just need to dig a bit deeper - but I was just truly moved by it and decided to share. Not sure I would have noticed as much if I was not actively practicing.
