Advice for next Mindfulness book

Hi all

I don't know if this is in the correct place, if not, apologies.

I'm just coming to the end of an 8 week course using 'Mindfulness: A practical guide to finding peace in a frantic world', which I've found really useful. I was thinking about going on and using 'The Mindful way through Depression', also by Mark Williams. Does anyone have experience of both books? Are the two fundamentally the same?

Many thanks for any advice you can give.

Hi Ian.
Welcome to the forum.
They're both excellent books and, as the title suggests, the second one you mention is specifically weighted towards those who have suffered or are suffering from depression. Well worth reading if you fall into that category.
If you don't suffer from depression, there's a few other books I could recommend if you're looking more to ground yourself further in the practice. Just let me know what you're looking for.
All best,
Jon, Hove

Thanks Jon

Yes, unfortunately depression (along with anxiety) is my thing so it sounds like it could be worth reading. I'll give it a go.

Thanks for taking the time to respond.

Ian

Hi Ian,

Depression and anxiety were also my stuff...and still are, but is so much less painful.
The two books "The mindful way through depression" and "The mindful way through anxiety" helped me a lot. They made me rediscovering life. I strongly recommend them.

Wish you the best,
Michael
