Hello Cavebear
I started by following the 8 week course outlined in the book Finding Peace in a Frantic World
http://www.amazon.co.uk/Mindfulness-practical-guide-finding-frantic/dp/074995308X/ref=sr_1_1?s=books&ie=UTF8&qid=1384103963&sr=1-1&keywords=finding+peace+in+a+frantic+world

There is now a course targeted more towards health and mindfulness whihc I will be starting soon.
http://www.amazon.co.uk/Mindfulness-Health-practical-relieving-restoring/dp/074995924X/ref=pd_sim_b_2

Others have found a course and tutor and started exploring mindfulness that way. Do you have any preference?

I urge you to continue with mindfulness, but also to read Overcoming MS by Prof George Jelinek. His website is very informative and includes a forum.

I have MS and feel that the diet and lifestyle modifications will help you.

Hi there

I started with the headspace website, if you pay the subscription there is a 365 day programme. A guided meditation every day, put together into a programme.

Worth a look.

I think there are a few people who have tried or are doing Headspace around.

I signed up to the year but haven't continued because it stopped feeling helpful. I do have a few months left of my subscription though so I may start up again. :)

I recommend headspace - online guided meditation. It works for me, and there are some great videos and helpful links

I have MS, and I consider mindfulness to be the greatest single intervention into my disease and the way that I manage it.

MS can be an all-powerful monster from the future, telling you stories about how bad the future is going to be, or how difficult is going to be to get up that set of stairs. When you can remain in the present moment, MS is robbed of nearly all of it's power.

This is not an overnight process. But with time and dedication it is possible to train your mind to work differently.
