This morning's tweet from @mindfuleveryday brought me here, and I think I would like to join you. I have been reading and thinking about mindfulness for some time, but have not established a regular practice. This seems like it may be good way to get started.

efox personally speaking I try not to strive for results and benefits but maybe keeping a journal as you go will help you document your journey?
I have the sheets for each week ready and will scribble down notes and thoughts if I feel inclined because sometimes that process helps me reach a deeper understanding of what I am experiencing.

I'm in - just about to order the book - arrived here via your Twitter feed. I'm not a complete beginner, having done some training in mindfulness and practised it on and off over the past 18 months. The 'on and off' aspect is the issue for me, and this is something I would like to improve in 2014, as I think it is such an important skill to possess.
Looking forward to being part of the community

It seems we have a strong core of people here to make this a fascinating journey. I will try to contribute wherever I can.
I agree with Fee in that it's important not to strive for results. Some days mindfulness is easier than others. This is just the way it is.
It would be nice to record how people have changed over the year though. Journals are a great idea. Maybe we could start another thread that we could populate with this kind of stuff, rather than the general week to week stuff.

Consider me in on this one too.
I'm hoping to integrate it further into my psychotherapy practice and will be journaling for this purpose so it would be great if we could track our changes!
(I'm going to track my 6 emotional style continuums and compare them from last years results)
