i dont know if meditation can solve my problem

Post here if you are just starting out with your mindfulness practice. Mindfulness is a really difficult concept to get your head around at first, and it might be that you would benefit from some help from others.

Indeed,
Lovely though it is to experience days when the world is seen without illusions, grasping on to that experience, wanting it to last, is guaranteed to promote suffering.
You might as well experience it and let it go. Because it's already gone as soon as you experience it. Whoosh. Like everything else in life.

Im trying not to think about it and instead focus on the intention of wiwhing myself and others well but its become a real nuisence in my compassion practice.. Has this happened to you guys?

"I can feel my tongue moving and it's irritating."

See it. But don't see it as a problem that needs fixing.

Hi Pajko,
I couldn't say what is the buddhist view on personality disorders would be. A Buddhist forum might be the best place for that question.
Re. your suspected anxiety disorder and avoidant personality disorder, it might be that therapy is the best way forward for you rather than mindfulness practice, or perhaps a combination of the two.
All good things,

I would get your suspected disorder checked out by a doctor then you'll know if it's just a thought or a fact. Either way you'll be able to let it go or accept it.
It won't be a worry then.

Why do you think that therapy would work better than mindfullness? Mindfullness is all embracing as it allings tou with your being which is essentialy calm. So in what cAses do therapy help more than mindfullness(which is life basicslly)? I do understand though that a combo between the two eould be better. I must say though after some great experiences my anxiety feels worse. Maybe its because now i know that i could feel another way. But somehow i also dont cooe with my sadness and anxiety as good as before. Now i feel like its in my face. Yes mike i certsinly hope that it is all a part of being human and therefore something thst can be accepted. I would imagine though that a disorder will take even more effort to accept and move beyond. To add something else it feels like my life has no joy lately. I mesn how could it after letting go of everything. Ive aldo noticed that i dont increase my time medititating. Its bren on 34 minutes for a very long time, i dont know why. I cant keep concetrated for the whole 34 minutes. It feelt like when i was around 25 minutes i would gain more benefits. Paradoxly i feel like some kind of improvent has happened. But it is veery veery subtle. Its probably not noticed in my behaviour.. My friends have actually tolf be that ive become sader. Which wasnt the gosl with meditation. But i want to beleive that is s psrt of the process. I also dont like that the letting go part is none of my choice whatsoever. Some days i can put my awareness on a feeling and i just let go of everything. Other times i csn have awareness on it and nothing hsppens. Ofcourse i think that im doing it wrong then. Anyways guys nice to hear from u sgain. How are you two doing?

"Why do you think that therapy would work better than mindfulness?"

Because you say you have a cognitive disability and mindfulness doesn't seem to have been much help. It's sensible to explore other options.

I agree with jon.
If you suspect you have any health issue its best to find out for sure.
that way you're dealing with facts, with what's real and you can deal with it using the right methods, be that a different therapy, mindfulness or something else.
Guessing what may be wrong and guessing at how best to deal with that guess isn't the right way to go about things.
