Hello Everyone,
I am a third year psychology student at Northumbria University, as I am in my final year of university I am currently conducting research for my dissertation. I have chosen to investigate the effects of short dose mindfulness meditation and how this effect may differ between novice and experienced meditators. However, I am struggling to recruit experienced meditators for this research!! Therefore if anyone here is willing to participate in my study I would be so grateful and it would be really helping me out My study is being ran online and should only take around 30 mins!
Some more info about the study: The study is being ran online (via qualtrics) so individuals can complete it in their own time and space. As a participant in this investigation it would involve answering two questionnaires which assess trait mindfulness and self esteem. A participant would then be required to engage with a 20 minute guided mindfulness meditation video, once this is completed they will then have to answer a final questionnaire on self-esteem and that is the study over! The whole study should take around 30 minutes to complete. I should also mention that this study has received full ethical clearance by the health and life sciences ethics committee at Northumbria university. This is the link to the study: https://nupsych.qualtrics.com/jfe/form/ ... UtxdF1vDlX
Please Note: please do not take part in this investigation if you are under that age of 18 or above the age of 60 and have any concerns regarding your mental health.
Thanks in advance to anyone that takes the time to complete my study and if anyone has any questions please don't hesitate to ask
