I have a vague idea but am not really sure if I have hit the nail on the head.

It refers to the "dumbing down" of mindfulness. separating the practice from its roots for the sake of improved worker performance etc.

It usually skips meditation too, reducing it to a pile of concepts that, almost certainly, will be consigned to the dustbin of memory within a fortnight.
It's basically mindfulness for people who can't be bothered.
There's a lot of it about. So be careful!
Cheers,

Plus I think it's McMindfulness quite often when I see mindfulness touted as a way to succeed with business or anything else goal orientated. It's something that frustrates me as it leads to more misconceptions but then of course I'm mindful of getting caught up in my thoughts

Yes, good point. It would seem that quite a few business are now using a watered-down version of mindfulness in an attempt to increase workers' productivity.

Mcmindfulness is marketing of mindfulness practice as a commodity that is sold like any other commodity. It helps to promote research on mindfulness.

"It helps to promote research on mindfulness."
With respect, it does nothing of the sort.
