Introducing myself

Hello all :-)

Being a 46 year old Dutch male who has stumbled in life many times, I got adviced to start with Mindfulness and ACT (Acceptance and Commitment Therapy) to better deal with my "issues".
Purpose of it is supposed to be accepting my diagnosis (ASD) and it's consequences, and take some distance from my sometimes obsessive-compulsive and intrusive thoughts.

Been trying mindfulness for about 4 or 5 months now and I'm starting to see some progress. Focussing attention is hard, but being mild to myself when I get distratced has proven to be a lot harder. So did letting go control and not trying to achive anything, not to have big expectations.
But as said, there's progress. It gets easier to reckognise my thoughts for what they are, and to choose nót to take them for absolute truth.

Hope to find some more tips and experiences from others here to try and use in my own life :-)
