Warm hello everyone.

I'm so pleased to have found this website. It's a pleasure to make my way around the forums, slowly but surely. Mindfully. Love the energy here, thank you.

Mindfulness for me is a way of being, a way of life, a way of moving forward in the world. While it does include some practices, I am less focused on DOing and more on BEing.

I've had the honour of being a writer, and a facilitator of workshops, retreats and groups on mindfulness and self-care for many years.

Almost four years ago, a series of traumatic incidents in my life culminated in what felt like hitting a brick wall emotionally, mentally, and physically. In the 23 years before that, my life was firmly rooted in seeking mindfulness. In the years since these traumas hit, I have come to a deeper understanding and practice of mindfulness than ever before.

It's wonderful to connect with you all. Looking forward to sharing with you.
Thanks!

Hello and welcome to our community One. Lovely to 'meet' you :)

Hi and welcome!

My own peace certainly gets deeper and deeper the more that I practise. Life is hard sometimes, and that is never going to change. But peacefulness is something completely separate, something that can be cultivated with comittment to your practice.

I love the words "something that can be cultivated"! Cultivate... to tenderly nurture, and actively encourage to grow. Compassion. Loving kindness. Love that!

For me, life isn't necessarily hard, but it sure can be challenging sometimes! I'm okay with that. I love a good challenge now and again. They build character. ;)

Thank you so much for the warm welcome. I'm really loving this online community.
