Re: JOT week 6 - slow down
In an effort to get myself back on track, I went back and read all the chapters we've done so far again. Week 5 (See the Good in Yourself) was definitely the most difficult. Week 6 was easier as I have been working on that for a long time. I've learned not to volunteer to do things in groups where I...

Re: JOT Week 4 - Relax
Sorry for disappearing for a while. I was derailed by an unexpected canine addition to our household and overwhelm at work. I really could have used some self-compassion and relaxation, but I confess that I hardly thought about JOT. Now that things are settling down a little bit, I will try to get c...

Where I've been disappointed in it is the lack ...

Re: Just One Thing - change your brain by the way you use it
My experience this week has had a different focus. The part of the text that stood out to me was the description of being "too slow about doing things ... to make your life better" and knowing you should do something for your own benefit, but not doing it. It manifests in my life as procra...

Re: Just One Thing - change your brain by the way you use it
Hello,
This morning's tweet from @mindfuleveryday brought me here, and I think I would like to join you. I have been reading and thinking about mindfulness for some time, but have not established a regular practice. This seems like it may be good way to get started.
Lynn
