Re: BBC Radio Manchester Mindfulness feature

Weeks 1 and 2 are now clipped and up on the blog, http://www.freemindfulness.org/blog - the next session is going to be on BBC Radio Manchester this Friday 8th August around 1.30pm and 2.45pm. Val's been responding well to the practices, and it's felt like a really nice thing to be involved with. Va...

Re: Mindfulness & Photography

Interesting thoughts! I know certainly I've had holidays or trips in the past where I've realised I'm more interested in getting the perfect picture to remember something by than actually being present and enjoying an experience whilst I'm there. So I've consciously chosen not to take pictures at ti...

Re: Mindfulness is becoming a chore

Hi James, This is a really useful thing to raise I think, as it can be frustrating when you feel mindfulness isn't really going anywhere. A few ideas come to mind, feel free to play around with these if they fit with your experience. What your are noticing in your practice may be really valuable not...

Re: BBC Radio Manchester Mindfulness feature

Thanks Jon - I've emailed the producer to ask about getting clips of the specific sections, that would make it much easier to listen back. Hi Gareth - yes the job's going well thank you, the service I'm working in is under pressure to meet some tough targets so it's all hands on deck, but I've negot...

Re: BBC Radio Manchester Mindfulness feature

Thanks Jon! It went well I think! Val the lady I was teaching seemed to respond really well, so I'm looking forward to seeing how it all unfolds - hopefully a really good opportunity to spread the word about mindfulness. There's a bit about it on their facebook page here if you scroll down: https://...

Hi everyone, Been a while since I've dropped by the forum but looks like it's going strong! Hope everyone's well. Just wanted to let you know, I'm going to be doing some work with BBC Radio Manchester over the next few months - going in on 6 occasions to give a regular guest an introduction to mindf...

Re: Mindfulness Resources

Hi Gareth, I'm liking the work that's been done on the website/forum, things are really coming together here :-) One thing, it might just be me/my monitor, but I find the light blue on white of the forum titles a bit difficult to read. Otherwise looking great. Yeah it's a good question how best to w...

Re: Is it wrong to distract yourself?

Hi BioSattva - I agree with your thought processes around this. I think it is the use of language that makes this confusing, as you say what Mark appeared to be suggesting was distraction in the context of continuing mindfulness rather than choosing not to be mindful. His comment was in response to ...

Re: The Time

I wonder if to save this trouble in the future (and in the spirit of mindfulness) the Forum would let you change the time to just, "Now" :-)
