Absolutely. It seems anxiety has a way of getting into parts of your life that were at one time not a problem.

I have a little bit of social anxiety too. But it seems that mindfulness is helping me. We'll keep in touch.

Re: How many of you live in the moment?

With respect John, it strikes me that on the one hand you seek advice, on the other hand you keep disagreeing with the advice given. Peter I seek advices and I won't stop to do it. I'll never stop to learn and test on my skin. But I am free to choose which advice to embrace. Thanks for all your hel...

Re: How many of you live in the moment?

Goals aren't a problem. It's only when we become overly attached to the goals that it can become problematic. Do not be overly attached by your goals. Be obsessed by them, live for them. But costantly remember to enjoy your journey, this is essential. Do enjoy reality by all of your senses, not onl...

Re: How many of you live in the moment?

I think there are 3 skills to develop in order to reconnect with our senses (based on various researches I did): 1. Focus : the ability to selectively concentrate about something, e.g. the breath or the body. 2. Curiosity . I don't know how to develop it, but scientific studies demonstrate that curi...

Re: How many of you live in the moment?

... the problem is about not being able to even enjoy a simple meal because your mind wanders or thinks about something else. Or not being able to enjoy a walk, the odours, the colors, the sensations. These are not goals, these are life, the moment. I didn't start mindfulness practice to overcome a...

Re: Does anyone know "stare a spot on the wall" exercise?

How do you develop curiosity? That's a question that interests me! And it happened quite naturally. One way to develop your curiosity would be to ask yourself what you love, what inspires you, what fascinates you, what holds your attention or what you like doing. If you love music, then learn to pa...

Re: How many of you live in the moment?

I don't want to offend you, but it feels like you keep setting goals and creating expectations for yourself. Just enjoy how it is for you right now! Peter Thanks for your reply, Peter. I'm not offended. The problem is not about setting goals, the problem is about not being able to even enjoy a simp...

How many of you live in the moment?

This is kind of survey. The question is simple: do you live in the moment most of the day? We know that practice is fundamental to live in the moment. As JonW said (I don't remember in which topic): mindfulness exercises are our practice, everyday mindfulness is our meditation. I like this sentence....
