I'm a newbie in the mindfulness practice. Though I have been trying meditation since a few years ago, it was a guided meditation sort and I had a bit not-too-pleasant situation that followed up which made me stopped meditating for quite a while.
And then I tried to do Yoga and a form of meditation but called simply "sitting in silence" because meditation sounds too commercial nowadays (for my thoughts anyway).
Since I have a bit difficulty in accepting or observing my thoughts, because I tend to attached myself to their stories, I thought joining a group of experienced people would be a solid move to improve my practice.
That was when I met this everyday mindfulness website and forum, and I felt so grateful because the website design looks chic and fresh, helpful for my foggy brain and short-sighted lens to find heaven's door aka answers to my mind's non-stop queries.

Hi Gareth
Currently I am trying to sit in silence 10-20 minutes daily and practicing to be aware of my breath whenever I feel nervous. Yet the meditation sometimes made me feel headache or migraine, maybe because I still have no clue how to meet my thoughts without resisting them.
