Hi everybody. What a wonderful space we have here to share our stories and our journeys together. Thanks Gareth!

I’m a mindfulness teacher, but first and foremost a devoted mindfulness practitioner (who’s still learning, discovering and deepening every day). I trained for 2 years with the satyananda yoga meditation academy then started teaching 4 years ago. I'm currently in the middle of doing my MBSR teacher training as well (that course is just AMAZING!)

Sharing the joy of mindful living is my passion and my purpose. I feel soooooo blessed to have come across mindfulness at a fairly young age (when i was suffering from depression and an eating disorder) and to have finally now found a sense of deep wholeness within myself; a wholeness that I found through mindfulness.

I'm glad to be part of this community and looking forward to knowing you all better

Warmly

Melli

Hi Melli, and welcome. :)

Thank you for the lovely things that you said on Facebook today.

Let's come together and make a mindfulness community. Just a bunch of people interested in promoting and teaching this life-changing practice.

Jon, Gareth, Fee - Thank you all for your warm welcome! I'm looking forward to being a more active member here (especially now that I've changed my settings so I get email notifications!)

Gareth, I'm looking forward to us uniting our efforts to spread this mindful revolution!

Keep up the amazing work mate!

Are you guys actually doing any physical meetups in the UK or elsewhere yet? I'm going to start a local group in my area here soon and think we could empower others to do the same.

I know that Jon does a regular meetup group down in Brighton - you'll have to talk to him about that.

It's something I would love to do in the future, but my current lifestyle doesn't afford the time for something like that.

Hi Melli,
As Gareth mentioned, I organise a mindfulness meet-up group here in Brighton. Up and running for a year now and we have 100 members. I set it up through meet-up.com
Our next one is in a boozer on Sunday. It usually turns out to be a six-pint affair…
Cheers,
Jon
