JOT Week 16 : Have Faith

Post here if you are just starting out with your mindfulness practice. Mindfulness is a really difficult concept to get your head around at first, and it might be that you would benefit from some help from others.

Another interesting idea to ponder (& a theme song from George Michael). In many ways I lost what faith I did have in the idea of a god when one of my best friends lost his daughter at 13 months. In a broader sense I have faith in my husband to not give up on me and the strength of my close friendships but little faith in my own body right now.
I think I will need to consider the subject mindfully and often in the next week.

It's tough having a body that can't be relied upon a lot of the time. I know all about that one.

But I am lucky to have a fantastic family, and my faith in them is unshakeable. I have faith in mindfulness too: whatever is here is supposed to be here. Pay attention to this moment and eventually you will see the blue sky again, even in the darkest of storms.

The wart over Banjo's eye dropped off today. He was due to go under the surgeon's knife on Wednesday.
The fact that this happened on Easter Monday cannot be a coincidence. No way.
Simply, it's a miracle (and saved me a few hundred quid into the bargain).
I've emailed the Vatican about it but they haven't got back to me yet. That's probably because they're busy over the easter holidays.

Jon

Good to hear that Banjo no longer needs to go under the knife! A book I was reading recently mentioned warts dropping off (and other instances of 'spontaneous' healing). Interesting that it happens to dogs too! Many see this as evidence that there is much more to life/existence etc than we appreciate, understand or can conceive of. It is also postulated that meditation links with this 'unknown' side of life too - all fascinating stuff. I wonder if Banjo meditates too?

OK, what I did to include this image is find it online, right click on it and choose 'open in new window'. I then copied that pages url. In the post a reply box and pasted the url, highlighted it and clicked the Img box. That put the correct code in for the image to show.
Hope that helps :)
