I came across this today. Although I've not got into much of the content yet, it looks very promising:

I came across the book Hardwiring Happiness by Rick Hanson and this lead me to the free virtual conference he is providing via the above link.

Hardwiring Happiness is all about how mindfulness causes the brain to change so you can modify it to adopt a more positive, happy approach to life rather than the bias towards negativity that evolution has provided us with.

There are quite a few Rick Hanson videos on YouTube as well.

Hope you find this useful. I've just downloaded the book and looking forward to reading it.

I've found Rick Hanson stuff really useful too. I read a section from his book Just One Thing every day and cannot recommend it too highly. Looking forward to the new one. I like the way he encourages to think that things can change, that the mind can start to turn away from negative stuff and learn to go somewhere else.
