Courses

Post here if you are just starting out with your mindfulness practice. Mindfulness is a really difficult concept to get your head around at first, and it might be that you would benefit from some help from others.

I am currently searching for a course but they are all 30/40 miles away and as I work full time and have health problems i'm not sure how practical that would be although it would be my preferred route, one is breathworks and the other is mindfulness CIC. I have also been reading on here about online courses which would be easier as no travelling involved but no idea which to choose so wandering if anyone has recommendations or any help and advice to offer.

Hi there.
I'm soon to embark on a Breathworks course and will be writing about it on the forum.
If you're interested in one-to-one "distance learning", I can highly recommend Ed Halliwell who I recently interviewed for Everyday Mindfulness - that interview can be found on the main site. Here's a link to Ed's site:

Ed is also a co-teacher on the Mental Health Foundation's 4-week Be Mindful Online course.
I'm sure he'd be happy to talk through the options available if you contact him. He's a lovely feller and a teacher of high repute.
Wishing you all good things, Jon
Jon leads the Everyday Mindfulness group meditation on Zoom every Monday/Friday, 6pm London-time. FREE.
