Take part in research about mindfulness and well-being

Post here if you are just starting out with your mindfulness practice. Mindfulness is a really difficult concept to get your head around at first, and it might be that you would benefit from some help from others.

Hi all!

My name is Gemma Perman, and I am a second year Trainee Clinical Psychologist based at the University of Surrey.

I am conducting an online study as part of my Doctorate thesis to find out if the characteristic way that someone tends to focus on either the past, present, or future has an impact on their sense of well-being and happiness.

I would be really grateful if you would be able to spend 15 minutes filling in my online survey. Anyone who is aged between 18 to 74 and lives in the UK can complete it.

Findings from this research could have important implications for the development of psychological interventions aiming to enhance someone’s level of well-being.

My supervisor is Linda Morison and this research has received favourable ethical opinion by the ethics committee of the Faculty of Arts and Human Sciences at the University of Surrey.

Thank you!

Done.
I'd encourage other members of the community to complete this survey. Letting others know how much mindfulness has benefitted us is a positive thing.
All best, Jon

Meditation can wipe away the day's stress, bringing with it inner peace. with this you can easily learn to practice meditation whenever you need it most... We must get the awareness that arises from paying attention, on purpose, in the present moment and without judgement ..!
