"The moment one gives attention to anything, even a blade of grass, it becomes a magnificent world in itself."

I came across that quote from Henry Miller.
Today I'm going to a football match (Brighton & Hove Albion v Blackpool, should be a cracker) and I've promised myself to give my attention to all sensations, in the moment, rather than simply follow the man with the ball and ruminate about how long it'll be until half-time when I can get a cuppa and a cheese roll.
What are you going to give your special attention to today?

Well right now my girls are playing outside in the garden and I am sat by the back door catching up on the forum. Once I have done that I am going to log off and just sit for a few minutes and listen to all the sounds I can hear. I will try to use my beginners mind and not label what I hear and just feel present.

Enjoy the match!

6-1 to The Albion. Plenty to notice.

I guess the obvious answer is; I'll give my attention to whatever comes up if and when I remember to be mindful.

I'm not sure how 'special' it is, though .. . . :)

Yesterday at about 3pm my family and I were at an Earth day festival. I was having fun then I started to have the 'Sunday blues'. Instead of going with it thoug, I noticed that, and then I brought myself to the present moment. It helped me to appreciate where I was rather than being bummed out that my weekend was almost over.

This one quote completely sums up the terrific power of mindfulness.
