Yesterday awhile practicing mindfulness I was aware that it
took some effort to take long deep breaths but thought
Nothing more of it as was feeling fine. Woke up this Morning
with chest pains so nipped down to see my GP to be on safe
side. He sent me to hospital where i am writing from now.
Have had all sorts of tests, ECG, chest xrays , they wouldnt
let me go home ad i still have pains, say I have to stay 6
hours and get another blood test and hopefully can go home
then. Have just served me up a most welcome bowl of vegetable
soup and wheaten bread. I am not the biggest fan of
hospitals, drinks back painful memories of the last few
months my Mother spent in one before she passed of cancer,
however i have remained pretty calm even when they said
Theres a posibility i might have to stay over, i put my
calmness down to mindfulness and will make use of my time
here to spend in mindfulness. I also recently had a weekend
in Madrid and am usually Very anxious travelling afraid of
missing cnections etc and though i was not totally at ease
until i reached my accomodation i think i handheld it much
better than i usually do. Oh and have you ever looked out a
plane at the clouds below mindfully? Wow that is something
else! Have za great weekend my mindful chums
just how much mindfulness helps me
Take care Jackie, I hope you are well and home very soon.
It sounds like you are using mindfulness to keep calm.
I look out for your updates x

Thanks Fiona. The blood tests came back clear so they let me home this afternoon. I've to attend the chest clinic sometime soon. Just glad it was't anything worse. My 5 month grandson stays at weekends and we had nice relaxing cuddle time awhile he napped early. Best medicine in the world

Hi Larorra.
Great to hear that you are out of hospital and safe & well.
It's very inspiring to hear how being mindful enabled you to cope with a situation that was potentially very, very stressful.
I hope you get to relax this weekend. It sounds like you deserve a few days of peace and quiet.
All good things, Jon

Have had all the grandchildren (5 of them) visiting over weekend and its been good but still a bit hectic will be nice tomorrow just me and honey my labrador, so maybe go for a mindful walk but will have time for mindfulness at some part of day which os important for me, think i got about 5 minutes today, didnt time it but better than none at all.
