Mindfulness can save your life...

Post here if you are just starting out with your mindfulness practice. Mindfulness is a really difficult concept to get your head around at first, and it might be that you would benefit from some help from others.

...everyday when crossing roads...look both ways, constantly...kiddies stuff...but everyday I nearly see a university student die in Huddersfield due to being cool and vacant!

But meditation can save our life! This may sound farfetched, but meditation is a direct way to cut through the chaotic monkey mind constantly making excuses and supporting our neurosis. It's that fundamental. Yet so many people pay it so little attention. Drinking alcohol can kill and meditation can save, yet there are far more people who drink. Great resources !

Gian,
Your posts seem to have links embedded in them on the words meditation, alcohol and drink. I am not sure if this is intentional or a technical problem at my end?

I don't see anything, Fee.

Meditation can also save your life in the sense that it improves the immune system and can turn on positive, and off negative, genes.

Is it only the words "alcohol" and "drink" that are jumping out at you, Fee?
