How to see my self talk, I see it everything goes STILL and then I lose it and I try to see it again?

Post here if you are just starting out with your mindfulness practice. Mindfulness is a really difficult concept to get your head around at first, and it might be that you would benefit from some help from others.

How to see my self talk, I see it everything goes STILL and then I lose it and I try to see it again and I keep doing that, I keep looking for ME THINKING, and then when I see that SELF TALK, I go all serene and quiet, its great BUT then I dip out of that and can no longer see my SELF TALK and then I have to find it again which I do, but Id like to not dip out of that Id like to see it non stop continuously, so I can stay still more continuously.

Any tips for this specific problem? (its something I am doing all day im focusing 10 plus hours a day)

Ah I lose it because it disappears not because I lost awareness, THEN I lose awareness trying to work out where I went wrong, maybe focus on the mind is too tricky and not worth it better to focus on external sight and sound

Yes, there's nothing to work out. We come back into the moment, not expecting or demanding that this moment be a particular way. Just allowing things to be, just as they are.
