Great to hear that things are going well for you.
Maybe ease yourself back into meditation practice with a five minute sit every day and build up from there.
Let us know how you get on.
All good things,
Jon

Hi Jon!

Thank you very much. Maybe I should wait until I've helped give the presentation on archiving in a weeks time then start again as the only thing I've got to do to a dead-line is knit a scarf for Xmas so I'll have more time on my hands & can have more of a break & more relaxation time. (Saying that I found the pottery, marbling & glass painting classes relaxing & good stress-relievers.)

I will do. Thank you very much.

Ann.

Hi Guys!

I know it's been a while since I was last on here but I've been so busy for the last 7 months. I got out of the habit of practising because I really didn't have time & couldn't make time.

Dad was diabetic. In November, we found out he had C.O.P.D & I.P.F. He'd been forgetting to turn off the gas after cooking & to lock the door on a night for a while but we daren't say anything as we were scared of what he'd say & do. He'd also been very argumentative for a while. He started doing things that not only endangered himself but me & Mother too. He also kept us up until very late at night & got us up very early in the morning. We couldn't sleep much anyway as we were worrying what he was doing while we were asleep. It really got me & Mother down. We got told we had to go out & speak to normal people & do creative things. In February he got diagnosed with dementia. He kept collapsing & having to go into hospital. We were going to get carers after this virus was over as we couldn't give him the 24/7 care he needed & we needed a break. In the middle of March he got diagnosed with asbestosis. At the end of March he died. It's been harder sorting everything out as everything has had to be done by phone or e-mail.

I've got to get back into the habit of practising & encourage Mother to do the same as it would help her too.

Sorry to hear. Take care. I feel I'm too busy most of the time then realise I can do it immediately whether it's washing the dishes or exercising or using my phone.

Thank you very much, Craig.

I'm starting to feel it now the workload has gone down a bit but I guess I can use the time I'm not spending getting things done to meditate & get Mother into it.

My parents thought it was just a fad when I mentioned it to them a couple of years ago!

It's up to your parents what they think. Let them think what they want. You think what you want.

I like the challenge of changing their minds. I've nearly talked my partner into it without trying. She totally dismissed it at first but has noticed how it is benefitting me so starting to have an open mind about it.
