When you damage your brain, you damage your consciousness !

Post here if you are just starting out with your mindfulness practice. Mindfulness is a really difficult concept to get your head around at first, and it might be that you would benefit from some help from others.

This implies that consciousness is a product of the brain and dies when the brain dies.

I thought no one even knew, but this is strong evidence and so is going under anesthesia

We can speculate on this question but speculate is all we can do. The truth is that nobody, not even the world's greatest neuroscientists, has been able to conclusively show what consciousness is or where it originates. Not for nothing do scientists call it 'the hard problem'.
