Hi I’m Celtic Bhoy
I have been using mindfulness since I done some Retreats in 2011. To this day I am still amazed at how vast we can travel & reach goals we thought could never achieve. I am currently attending a course on Compassion. I now can see how being kind to myself whilst meditating is giving me another shield of armour & bringing me Closer to loved ones & friends. During meditation through concentrating on breathing I call to the end of suffering. This has given me a fire in my belly. Has anyone experienced the same. Kind regards

Welcome Celtic, I think calling it 'another shield of armor' is probably a poor choice of words. They pretty much represent the opposite of what mindfulness is about.

To be honest I don't understand what you mean. Would you like to explain?

Although "shield of armour" is a somewhat militaristic analogy, I know what Celtic Bhoy means. When bad stuff is happening out there, self-compassion and compassion for others can help you to stay safe.
