... both the simplest and the most difficult thing to do.
Mindfulness is allowing yourself to be fully present in the moment, accepting what is there and not trying to manipulate it.
“Being mindful means that we take in the present moment as it is rather than as we would like it to be.”

Thank you.
This opens up a very interesting discussion and a very relevant one at a time when the word is being used to communicate something experiential that is still novel.
For me it is the practice of being more present in my day to day moments.
However I have found that the majority of people I talk with attach it to the meditation practices that are outlined in mindfulness courses rather something that can be practiced 24/7. To me the former is one of many tools that can help us be more mindful.
I have now started referring to the 24/7 as Mindfulness and the other as Mindfulness Meditation. Even as I'm writing this I'm debating with myself the definition of Meditation...
It will be interesting to see when we will have a universally recognised consensus. I suppose, like with every word, it will come with the increase in people experiencing it.
All the best,
Johnny

Hi Johnny.
It helps me to think of the sitting as the practice and the rest of the day as my meditation.
Cheers,
JW
