Mindfulness, stress and anxiety
Thank Dave,
Your very kind to take such trouble to respond to me. The irony is I am fit and active. I have a job I love good friends and family. I exercise. But my eldest daughter said she is moving out and I will be alone and it triggered my anxiety. Since then I've began to imagine all kinds of terrible things happening. It's crazy. I am very independant. My youngest moved out last year, and we remain extremely close. I am suddenly reminded that my parents are gone, my kids will be gone and away I went! It seems I will never be free of anxiety. It always comes back.

Hi Dave.
No the thought didn't occur to me. I think your great for explaining so much. I was just saying that I don't understand why it comes back because I d all of the things I think I'm supposed to,do. But I will take your advice and go through the threads and keep learning. There's lots of positive stuff on here and I will take tiny steps as,you suggest.
One day at a time aye?

Phew, I re-read what I posted and wanted to make sure .
Have you ever tried therapy ? I have medical insurance through work and I manged to get some time at the local priory as an outpatient once a week and I felt the one to one (not group) therapy sessions were really useful for me. It also included a weekly hour and a half group mindfulness class. I haven't grieved over losing my parents, but I guess losing my ex partner has some comparisons to grief in that way, and to get out once a week and talk about these things were really helpful.
