People who have lived through a recent history of M.E., when doctors were claiming it was all in the head, can be very resistant to psychological practices. I brought up the possible overall health benefits of addressing the psychological elements of the illness on a very popular M.E. forum and people were not happy about it at all. Since then I tend not to mention it unless its clear people are keen to listen.
