Mindfulness research

Post here if you have been practising for a while, and you are starting to get your head around what this is all about. Also post here if you are a long-term practitioner with something to say about the practice.

Hi all,

I am a researcher at King's College London investigating how mind training, in the form of mindfulness practice, affects our experience of the environment.

We are looking for experienced male practitioners to take part in our study which involves a one-off session lasting around 2½ hours at the Institute of Psychiatry, Denmark Hill, London. You will be paid £30 for your time and all travel expenses will be reimbursed.

This survey is run under the watchful eye of King’s College London and has the university's full ethical approval (Project ref: PNM/12/13-83). We are using completely safe, non-invasive methods and all information and responses will remain completely confidential and anonymous.

We would greatly appreciate your help in this study. If you want to take part, or would like to learn more, please contact Aseel on aseel.hamid@kcl.ac.uk or 07956048785. Thank you very much.

Warm wishes,

Aseel

If I lived closer would be happy to help out, but unfortunately I am in Belfast. Hope it goes well.

I too would have really liked to do this, especially since I have an academic and professional interest in the environment. Alas, I am sick and bedbound so will have to pass on this occasion. I hope it all goes well!
