Hello
Welcome to the community. I'm glad we've been able to answer some of your questions already. You aren't gatecrashing at all, there's always room for new members.

well thanks to all for the warm welcomes, very nice of you all
Anyway I'm off to the Dentists in a few minutes, going to have some implants fitted and I'm having the big painful (probably) drilling session today, can't see me having any difficulties staying in the moment for that !!

I had major dental work a couple of months ago. A long meditation beforehand did me the world of good.
When you're in the chair I'd advise you to concentrate on your breathing. In and out.
Good luck!

The breathing works for me during dental work (on going) it makes all the difference and I am not as tensed up so the procedure is much less stressful than it used to be

I used a sultana, well, its only slightly bigger than a raisin lol
i ran the course for a friend and she couldn't stand any dried fruit, took a heck of a lot of crinkle cut crisps!!!!
we just did session 8 with a group last week and used chocolate, it went down very well.
my favourite was strawberries.
When I really pay attention to crisps, strawberries, dried fruit of any type or chocolate, I am always surprised that it tastes quite different to the way I expect it too. I think our brains store an idea of what an item of food tastes like and we rely on that more than the actual sensations of taste thereafter.
