Learning how to stay present

Hi, I wrote on here that I started summer 2015, that was when through a group we spent time mediating twice a day with our affirmations.
Along with that I had been doing Nia dancing for years and learning a bit about mindfulness through their beliefs. Mainly living in the present moment.
That is how I was introduced, from there I moved here and joined a mindfulness book club reading Thich Nhat Hanh books, taking a mindfulness class this month and about to join their weekly meditation group.
I believe strongly in mind body and doing an online class that uses mindfulness with it.
The past few years have been very stressful, my husband has major depression issues and anger from his past and its been hard for me to want to stay present and peaceful in the midst of it.
I signed up here because I want to focus my life on healing, peace, and health and all of my other social outlets were full of pain and anger after our election.
Look forward to meeting you all.
