There is so much more we can do!

Post here if you are just starting out with your mindfulness practice. Mindfulness is a really difficult concept to get your head around at first, and it might be that you would benefit from some help from others.

This is a topic that I have been thinking of starting for a while.

I started Everyday Mindfulness as a bit of a pet project some fifteen months ago, as I was off work and I was messing around with building websites as something that I could possibly do as a way of being able to make money without the use of my legs. I started a Twitter account to go with the website, and I started this forum too because it seemed like such a good idea at the time. Both things have been more successful than in my wildest dreams, and I only see more success too, as mindfulness nudges its way into the mainstream.

Mindfulness has effected such a complete change in my outlook and made improvements to my physical health so much, that I have managed to make a full-time return to work. As a result, I have so much less time to dedicate to what we are doing here. There are emails coming in all the time these days, and so many 'jobs to do.' It's becoming quite a lot for me to handle.

Since the start of this project, several wonderful, committed people have come on board and joined in with what we are trying to achieve. I don't think we have ever spoke about what we are trying to achieve, but to me, it seems like we all have the same goal. Simply to promote mindfulness as a way of bringing peace to peoples' lives, and to assist them in building up their practice. You know who you are, and I thank you all for the work you have done.

The truth is that there is so much more work that could be done. Jon is generating us so much magnificent content; I am also building up contacts which means this great content will keep coming; we should be sharing this on other social media networks other than the two we are already doing. There are a myriad of different ways that we can promote mindfulness as well as through social media, but right now we need more bodies to be able to do that.

From the start, I wanted this to be a community project and that remains the case. This project will ask nothing of you only that you are passionate about mindfulness like we are.

Come to the forum and talk to us, join us, let us know your ideas for promoting mindfulness.

Echoing Gareth's thoughts here.
Everyday Mindfulness is one of a kind. There is no other forum like it in the world. We're building something special here and you're all a part of that.
So do get involved in whatever way you can.
Let's keep building this great thing.
All best, Jon

I havent been on this for awhile, sorry, I don't have a computer at home and my internet connection on my smart phone isnt the best.

I am glad to read that things are going so tremendously and if there is anything I can do to help out give me a shout. I am connecting from work at the moment, (not always possible but will take the opportunity when I can! ;)

Good luck and keep up the good work!
