Hi all

I have dysthymic disorder and have recently realised that I have real issues with general being edgy.

This is starting to become a real issue coupled with the snappiness etc.

I just don't see it coming a lot of the time.

Please help.

Have you spoken to your GP about mindfulness Jenna? I really do think that a course environment would be good for you.

Yes. What Gareth suggested.
If you're interested in mindfulness, which you clearly are, then a course is likely to give you a good grounding.
All best wishes, Jon

Hi Jenna
It sounds like you are in a difficult place right now. I think the suggestions to both speak to your GP and consider attending a mindfulness course are both appropriate. It sounds like having some additional support right now could be very helpful? Your GP would also be able to give you information about counselling support if you think that would help?
Your post sounds like you are feeling very distressed and while the community here can provide support and share our experiences it might not be enough for you right now.
Take care

Hi Jenna, it is very difficult to give guidance without being in the person's presence.

Without knowing you and seeing you I cannot say whether mindfulness will be good for you - it depends on the person. Two people can have similar symptoms and two very different approaches may be needed.

Can you talk to an experienced mindfulness teacher and see how you feel in their presence - if they are good they will give you a free taster session.

Sorry i cannot be more help, wishing you well, Suryacitta
