Mindfulness and Dissociation

Post here if you are just starting out with your mindfulness practice. Mindfulness is a really difficult concept to get your head around at first, and it might be that you would benefit from some help from others.

That Jack Kornfield talk is brilliant. Thank you so much for sharing it. It's really given me a lot of information and inspiration in terms of how to approach the trauma sensations and memories with mindfulness. I would highly recommend this talk for anyone dealing with trauma and other high levels of suffering. Thank you, big thank you.

Hi Betty

I am really interested in talking to you more about your experiences our stories sound very similar and I have just recently decided to really commit myself to mindfulness outside of therapy. And by the way I found with Gupta- the stop stop stop was actually causing me to disasociate from my body though I didn't know it at the time! Would love to talk more....

Hi chatterbox9056

What would you like to know? I'm happy to share more if you give me an idea what you would like to talk about. Or if you think it more appropriate off the forum, then feel free to PM me. Mindfulness is making a huge difference for me - I'm doing a lot better than I was while in therapy, and am very thankful. :0)
