BEing in the present moment.

Post here if you are just starting out with your mindfulness practice. Mindfulness is a really difficult concept to get your head around at first, and it might be that you would benefit from some help from others.

Thanks again one and all.

Very much look forward to reading the interview, Jon.

I'm also going to be looking at 'proper' course once I've finished weeks 6, 7 & 8 as I agree that having a teacher would be hugely beneficial. Problem is where I'm based. Just had a quick search on bemindful & google and I've lucked out. Will keep on looking though as I definitely want mindfulness to become an important part of my life.

When practicing on the present moment, I find it easier to focus on my breath than on the tasks or body sensations. But when I focus on my breath I feel like I am 'not' focusing on the task much like being lost in thought. Is that OK? If I focus on body sensations of the task, I lose focus easily and my mind starts wandering.

I'm not 100% sure what you mean mint - maybe I'm being a little dense?

If you want to start this question as a new topic, then it might attract more replies. I'll also give the topic a plug via Twitter.
