Managed my first guided practice

Post here if you are just starting out with your mindfulness practice. Mindfulness is a really difficult concept to get your head around at first, and it might be that you would benefit from some help from others.

Happy to oblige. Here are some links to free audio/guided meditations:
http://rodalebooks.s3.amazonaws.com/min ... index.html
https://itunes.apple.com/itunes-u/mindf ... 6047?mt=10

As I mentioned in another post I have quite a large collection of audio recordings in MP3 form - a mix of guided meditations and audio versions of books about mindfulness. Let me know if you would like a copy of those and I'll figure out a way of getting them to you. They'll probably all fit on an 8GB USB stick.
All best, Jon

Jon,
Thanks for the links, most appreciated. I've managed to get hold of a copy of Full Catastrophe living and Mindfulness for Beginners audio books from a friend so I have those to listen to as well as the links you've provided. Thanks also for offering the other materials you have, that's very kind of you. Perhaps we could use some kind of shared folder using a cloud storage service, dropbox for example ? Anyway, just a suggestion !

Thanks again Jon
Cheers
Delta

Dropbox is an excellent idea.
I have used it a couple of times to send files. Allow me to reacquaint myself with how it works.
All best, Jon

Hi, guys,

How are you all doing?

I've been meditating now for several years, and I've joined the Forum today. Thrilled to be here!

I'm a huge fan of Jon Kabat-Zinn. I was wondering if anyone could recommend a CD of guided meditations by Jon that I can purchase? I'm also very keen to introduce my mum to Jon's guided meditations.

Many thanks,

Jack

Hey Jack,
Welcome to the forum.
Amazon sell the Kabat-Zinn series of CDs. Here's a link for the first which I'd highly recommend. http://www.amazon.co.uk/Guided-Mindfuln ... at-zinn+cd
Those seem very pricey though. They'll be cheaper as digital downloads.
Alternatively you could buy JKZ's Mindfulness For Beginners which comes with a CD of guided meditations. http://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B007L659U2/r ... TF8&btkr=1
Cheers!
