Hi I'm new!

Post here if you are just starting out with your mindfulness practice. Mindfulness is a really difficult concept to get your head around at first, and it might be that you would benefit from some help from others.

Hi everyone,

I just thought i would say hello. I have been practising Mindfulness on and off for about two years now but just as I develop a constant flow I seem to stop. I understand the benefits of practicing on a daily basis and find myself to be really so much calmer when I do so. I am studying to be a counsellor and about to start my final year and Mindfulness sits well with what I'm doing but i just need to get more into a routine.

I'm really pleased to have found this forum as I think it will help me to stay more focussed and pick up a few pointers here and there.

Looking forward to getting to know you all.

Warmest regards

Ian

Good to meet you Ian.

Consistent practice seems to be very important to many people - it certainly was for me.

I look forward to reading your posts.

Hi Ian and welcome to the community :)

Hi I'm ross,
I'm looking forward to hearing and meeting new people on this forum. I've been practicing mindfulness meditation for the last 6 mths after doing a course for 6weeks. I find it hard to get a consistent practice going. But when I do I really feel the benefits. I can have bouts of mild depression, coupled with low self esteem. Using mindfulness meditation has helped me manage my feelings in a much better way. I'd like to hear from people in a similar situation and see how been mindful has helped them.

Hi Ross,
Welcome to the forum.
Apologies for the technical problems we're having. It doesn't normally look like this.
I look forward to getting to know you on here.
All best wishes,
Jon, Hove
