Please can you give English, French or Spanish translations so we can understand you? You won't get many responses if you only type in Russian as not everyone reads Russian.

I'm not sure that any of us speak Russian. Gareth's French is very good, so I hear, and Peter is fluent in quite a few languages but not Russian. I am fluent in Welsh and I'm just about able to get by in my second language, English.

My Mother tongue is English. I never got more than 5 questions wrong in French exams at school without even trying but I haven't used any for ages so I don't know how much I remember. I speak Spanish. I speak some Scots Gaelic too. (I've had the odd go at Portuguese which seems to be in between French & Spanish with some differences. My Brother-in-law left a book on Swedish on my book-shelf when I was in Middle school & I had a go at that too though I don't know how much I can remember. *He was warned not to leave books on my book-shelf if he didn't want me to read them as I read everything I came across.*) I don't know Russian though.

I was talking to the new member trying to explain that if he wanted a response it would be a good idea to speak a language that more people knew. As most people speak English here I put that 1st. I mentioned French & Spanish as that's what I know. However, German & Italian are more widely-known than Russian so I could have mentioned those languages.

What languages does Peter speak?

I think your English is excellent actually.
